Jackie Kunkel

Jackie Kunkel

Jackie grew up in Northern New Jersey, and as a 6th grader, she learned to love sewing garments in Home Economics. She graduated college and moved to Connecticut, where she married her husband, Rod. She worked a "normal" job. In 1993, that changed. After finishing her Master's Degree, Jackie was working and pregnant with their first child. At that time, she decided to pick up a sewing machine and began to sew baby clothes for their new baby. At her husband's encouragement, Jackie took a quilting class. She took a second class, and Jackie was in love with quilting!

In 2000, she started a Long Arm Quilting business, Canton Village Quilt Works. In 2007, Jackie began a quilt blog. In her 9th year of business, she opened an online quilt shop. Shortly after that, designing quilts for magazines and fabric companies became a joy for her. Loving paper piecing, she became a Judy Niemeyer Certified Instructor and shop and began to travel throughout the country teaching, lecturing, and showing quilts. Now she is also a Craftsy.com teacher. Jackie authored a book, Splash of Color: A Rainbow of Brilliant Black & White Quilts and over 59 patterns in her portfolio.  In fall 2016, she launched her first fabric line of many with Island Batik.  She is also an Aurifil Designer, a podcaster, hosts her own weekly LIVE events on her YouTube Channel, and creates her own Online Quilting Classes.   To see more of Jackie’s work, please visit her website at www.cvquiltworks.com

Na Pali means "high cliffs" in Hawaiian, and as you cruise past the Napali Coast, you'll understand exactly why it got its name. Passing by, you'll see the sheer magnitude of the shoreline's steep cliffs that rise as high as 4,000 feet above the ocean below. These rugged headlands make up a state park, known as Napali Coast State Park. You can find these on the northwest of Kauai, stretching 16 miles along the turquoise coastline. Start your Hawaii cruise vacation and experience the awe of nature through this rare, prehistoric landscape, keeping an eye out for cascading waterfalls, mysterious sea caves and lush green valleys.

For a crash course in Hawaii’s monarchical history and culture, visit Bishop Museum at Iolani Palace, once the royal residence of Hawaii’s rulers. Because of this, all guests registered with Stitchin’ Heaven are required to provide proof of vaccination. By following this protocol, we will not be required to have our guests wear masks while in the Conference Center.
