Anna Maria

Anna Maria was raised in an artistic household, where she was surrounded by the hand-loomed blankets sent by her grandmother from Greece, paintings from her father and the artistic handiwork of her mother. As a child, she can recall seeing the popular girls clothes from the 70's modeled after Barbie style and instead, going home to use her own creativity to sew her own clothes. After graduating college in 1995 with an Honors Fine Arts Degree in Drawing, from the University of Tennessee, Anna Maria opened her first business, a clothing and housewares boutique, naming it Handmaiden. She now focuses her creativity on her personal passions which is sewing, patterns, textiles, and much more!
