Batik fabrics are colorful and fun. This ancient art form originated in Indonesia and is now done in many other exotic locations as well. The prints on batik fabrics are created through a process of placing a wax layer on the fabric. Then the fabric is hand dyed and naturally dried in the sun. This process creates slight variations in the print and color that make each yard of the fabric unique.
