We provide top-notch events for quilters complete with everything that inspires a Texas-sized WOW and we need your help.

The Stitchin' Heaven Event Administrator is responsible for implementing the work associated with facilitating Stitchin' Heaven events. These events will include but are not limited to cruises, specialty classes, store events, expos, and large events. This individual will be enthusiastic with a "can-do" attitude to participate in hosting events that will enhance our image, improve client loyalty, and enhance our customer experience.

The ideal candidate for this role should demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, superb interpersonal, multi-tasking, and time management skills. The Event Administrator should reinforce client-to-business relations, improve the organization's image, and deliver on event objectives effectively. This individual is keenly aware of the processes within the Events Department and knows every aspect of the processes needed to provide 100% customer satisfaction. 

Our Event Administrator is creative & innovative and will plan events that "WOW" people by being forward thinking and going the extra mile to ensure a phenomenal event. She/he can spark the fire and find a better way when needed. They are always learning and takes initiative. They are often described as a focused, self-improving, and hardworking individual. This individual is a team player, a self-starter, someone who will do the job when it is not their job, and someone accountable for meeting goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

Handling all tasks related to organizing and facilitating a successful event at Stitchin' Heaven. Job duties will be assigned based on workload and location. Procedures developed by the Events Manager will be followed to ensure standardized completion of each task. They will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Manage all aspects of an event from organizing, determining resource needs, on-site coordination, and post-event follow up
  • Order supplies needed for events and ensure items arrive in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate and oversee the completion of all event details
  • Manage set up, tear down, and cleanup of the event
  • Developing post-reports of each event to determine the effectiveness
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Provide a positive customer service experience
  • Maintain accurate records and files of documents 
  • Creates itinerary for events
  • Ensures the office area is tidy and presentable
  • Some weekends are required with this position
  • Keep the Events Manager apprised of ideas for new events and ways to facilitate existing events better. 

Qualifications for the Job

  • High school diploma or higher
  • Experience in an administrative job
  • Some event experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented
  • Highly Organized
  • The ability to handle more than one task at a time
  • Good time management
  • Proficiency in computer programs like Microsoft Office 
  • Expert interpersonal skills
