The Salesperson is responsible for providing sales and service to those customers who are interested in and/or purchase products associated with our Sales Department. This individual is keenly aware of the processes within the Sales Department and has knowledge of every aspect of the processes needed to deliver 100% customer satisfaction to our sewing machine customers. Our Salesperson possess a “can-do” attitude understands the importance of delivering the product on time with the highest level of quality available.

Our Salesperson is creative & innovative. She/he can spark the fire and can find a better way when needed. They are always learning and takes initiative. Often described as a focused, self-improving, and hardworking individual. We will find this person as a self-starter and someone who will do the job when it is not their job. Salesperson is accountable for meeting goals, is a team player, and understands how to “WOW” people whether it is a customer, team member or vendor.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates strong selling skills according to the Retail Sales Process as evidenced by products sold and upgraded.
  • Interacts with customers daily in order to achieve individual and team sales goals
  • Creates inspiring displays of merchandise and samples
  • Creates the ultimate customer experience while focusing on strategic, operational and leadership excellence
  • Strives to meet and exceed monthly sales goals
  • Promotes and maintains a safe working and shopping environment
  • Continues education on BERNINA products to be able to increase revenue at the maximum level
  • Teaches classes on products as needed
  • Responsible for inventory reorders and maintaining adequate stock
  • Knowledgeable of finance opportunities and assists customers in preparing documents to acquire financing

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of sales experience required
  • Sewing/Embroidery knowledge or the willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written skills
  • Ability to create an inspiring environment for customers
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
