Supply List

Rulers & Templates

  • 6”x24” ruler
  • 6”x12” ruler

Basic Sewing Supplies

  • Small scissors or thread snips
  • Flat-headed flower pins

Optional (recommended)

  • Postcard
  • Stick on note pad (2" x 2")
  • Styrofoam Tray or paper plates to organize cut fabric
  • Small Craft Iron
  • Quart and Gallon size baggies
  • Task Light

Specific Tools:

  • 6 ½" quilter's ruler
  • Tri-recs ruler set
  • Wedge rulers (22.5 and 30 degrees - or use paper templates from the pattern)
  • ½” bias tape maker or hera marker
  • Glue baste-it
  • Steam-a-Seam lite 2 (small amount)
  • Freezer Paper (small amount)
  • Paper for templates

  1. Please purchase the 60 Fabulous Paper-Pieced Stars Second Edition Book by Carol Doak and Foundation Paper prior to class.
  2. Select 5 or 6 different Stars from the book.
  3. Use the foundation paper to print the paper piecing templates for your selected Stars.
  4. Bring your templates, fat quarters, and 2.5" strips with you to class
