Linda McGibbon draws on all her design talent with this ambitious paper piecing project, a Stitchin' Heaven exclusive. Paper piecing provides the precision for the central star motif, executed in angular piecing that reminds us of ice crystals. The theme is carried out to perfection in a frosty palette of blues and silvery whites, highlighted by floral print and accented with a touch of black. The pattern is completely paper pieced. The first nine months are the nine diamond blocks. The tenth month is the flying geese. The eleventh month is the set-in blocks and triangles. The twelfth month is assembling the quilt. There are a couple of templates in month eleven, but no special tools are required. This fabulous quilt will be a piece of art for your wall or bed.
The finished quilt measures 68" x 68".
You will need 5 yards of 44/45" wide fabric to back your quilt.
