Stitchin’ Heaven to Honor Local Veterans at Nov. 9 Ceremony

Quitman Quilt Shop’s 2nd Annual Quilts of Valor Day Will Recognize 10 Veterans

WHO:              Stitchin’ Heaven is Texas’ premier quilt shop, offering thousands of quality fabrics and quilting kits, plus a wide variety of unique programs including Block of the Month, custom cruises, classes, retreats and so much more. Earlier this month, Stitchin’ Heaven opened the doors to its brand new 17,500 sq. ft. facility in Quitman, TX. Saturday’s ceremony is in partnership with the Quilts of Valor Foundation, which has awarded more than 230,000 quilts to veterans since its inception in 2003.

WHAT:             Stitchin’ Heaven’s 2nd Annual Quilts of Valor Day will honor 10 local service men and women with the presentation of handmade quilts to thank them for their service and sacrifice. Each veteran will be recognized individually, with remarks made by Quilts of Valor representative, Suzanne DiCarlo, and Stitchin’ Heaven co-founder, Clay Luttrell. Additional festivities will include refreshments, exclusive in-store promotions, a free pattern with purchase and opportunities to discover more ways to give back for Veteran’s Day.
