Do I have to be a quilter?

Absolutely not. Lots of talented people are creative, but they don't sew or quilt. While sewing or quilting is a plus, it is not required for most of our positions.

How often will I be paid?

We pay bi-weekly.

Will I have to work holidays and weekends?

Not all positions require holidays and weekends. Our retail store is open Saturdays and holidays with the exception of Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Hourly employees required to work on holidays will earn double time for the hours worked.

What is the dress code?

In a nutshell, conservative yet comfortable. Jeans and comfy shoes with a nice shirt. If you're looking to work in our storefront, you will receive a set of Stitchin' Heaven logo t-shirts to wear each day.

May I smoke while at work?

No. Smoking is prohibited on Stitchin' Heaven property. If you smoke, or live with someone who smokes, we ask that you take precautions not to smell of smoke when coming to work. It gets in the fabric!

Can I apply in general without selecting a specific position?

YES! In fact, since we are always looking for talented and creative people to join our family, we encourage it! Simply follow the instructions for Option 2 below.

Option 2: Stop by the store at 321 Richards Street in Quitman, Texas, and pick up an application or download an application. Then simply fill it out and return it to the store or email it to humanresources@stitchinheaven.com.

Don't forget to include a resume with references, too. Because we are always looking for creative people, it is best to include a cover letter telling us about you, your talents, what you love and why you want to work here. Resumes and applications don’t always get that across.
