Stitchin' Heaven is a quilt shop for quilters by quilters. We know and understand how important it is that we listen to our customers. You asked for a beautiful space to come and enjoy your quilting friends, learn new quilting techniques, and enjoy the quiet life in the country. We listened, and we have provided The Retreat Center and The Cottages, just for YOU!

We are now accepting reservations at this beautiful facility. Coming with a group of up to 24 friends? Book The Retreat Center. Need a place for a small group? Consider one of The Cottages. Either way, let us accommodate you!

We also offer retreats designed by Stitchin' Heaven that feature some of the top personalities in the quilting industry. Browse through our selection and see if there is one that interests you and plan to join us!

You will have full access to our quilt shop during your stay - walk across the parking lot! We hope we have thought of everything you need to have an incredible experience at Stitchin' Heaven.

The Retreat Center will offer regularly scheduled events. Events will be multi-day sewing retreats with nationally known instructors. All of our retreats will include overnight lodging for the duration of the event.

The Retreat Center

Located in the piney woods of East Texas

Here are the details:

• Our beautiful 12-bedroom center sleeps 24 people

• Each bedroom has a private shower bathroom

• We have a handicap accessible room that meets ADA requirements

• The kitchen is well equipped for those groups who wish to prepare meals

• Our main sewing space is over 1800 sq ft featuring floor electrical plugs and an abundance of natural light

• We offer ample cutting and ironing stations as well as design walls.

• There is free WiFi throughout the retreat center.

• Deluxe sewing chairs for comfortable seating are provided

• There is a cozy den area for those times when a little quiet time is needed

• The spacious covered patio is located in a beautiful setting that overlooks a scenic water feature

• Our center and cottages are surrounded by large trees in a beautiful east Texas landscape

• Need catering for your group? We have a variety of options by request

Renting The Retreat Center:

We would love to host your group in our retreat center. Is your quilting group larger than 24? Rent additional rooms in our cottages and join your group in the Retreat Center sewing room.

Pricing Info: 2-Night Minimum

21-24 people ($55 per person per night)*
17-20 people ($65 per person per night)*
13-16 people ($75 per person per night)*
8-12 people ($85 per person per night)*

This includes the appropriate number of lodging rooms to accommodate the group size.

NOTE: We offer a pet free and smoke free establishment.

A $200 fee is required to secure the group reservation.

All Pricing is based on double occupancy room. Single rooms will not be available if the event is full. Please call to check single room availability.

The Cottages

Here are the details:

The Cottages are small units available for up to 4 people. These quaint units are offered to serve groups who want to come to spend the night and are not intended for sewing space. Plan to bring your friends, perhaps take a class at the store, and have fun exploring the area surrounding Quitman.

For the men (and some of the ladies) Lake Fork is only 6 miles away and offers world-class bass fishing. There are several very nice golf courses in the area and a variety of sports-themed activities. If you love antiques, you will be very happy in Mineola and also in Gladewater. Canton features First Monday Trades Days boasting to be the world's largest flea market.

  • Bed Linens are provided - Including 1 quilt per bed
    • Feel free to bring a spare blanket if you get cold at night
  • Provided bathroom essentials: towels, washcloths, hand towels, bath mat, hair dryer, hand soap, shampoo, body soap, and toilet paper
  • Ammenities: Minifridge, microwave, Keurig coffee machine, clothing storage rack, surge protector, two chairs with small side table, bottled water, coffee pods, coffee creamer, tea supplies, and coffee cups
  • Each cottage has it's own Air Conditioner and Heating Unit as well as a ceiling fan
  • FREE WIFI and FREE parking on premises

Not provided: TVs, Sewing Machine (rentals unavailable in cottages), Telephone, Freezer, Washer/Dryer

NOTE: There is no food service provided at The Cottages unless occupants are a part of an event or large group at The Retreat Center

Renting The Cottages:

Cottages will hold up to 4 guests and are $99 per night plus taxes and applicable fees. Customers will be charged 100% of the fee at the time of reservation.

There are no deposits or partial payments. In order to secure a reservation, complete payment is required.

NOTE: We offer a pet free and smoke free establishment.

The Bunkhouse

Here are the details:

• 2200 Square foot log cabin with 1500 square foot sewing room

• Ironing station and extra plugs for sewing equipment

• Enjoy a full kitchen with all the amenities

• Washer/Dryer available

• 2 Bedrooms with twin-sized beds; enough to sleep up to 14 people (with upper bunk beds)

• 3 Bathrooms with full-sized showers and tubs

• There is free WiFi throughout the bunkhouse.

• Deluxe sewing chairs for comfortable seating are provided

• Great services in the area so you can schedule extras like Massage Therapists, a night out at the movies, or a facial

• Surrounded by large trees in a beautiful east Texas landscape

• Need catering for your group? We have a variety of options by request

Renting The Bunkhouse:

A $150.00 cleaning fee is required to hold your reservation. The cleaning fee will not be applied to your total reservation fees.

The total charge for your stay at the Bunkhouse will be collected at Stitchin’ Heaven when you check in. Early check in is not permitted.

Directions from Quitman: Take FM 778 about 6 miles to CR 3250. Turn left and go less than ½ mile. The driveway for the Bunkhouse is on the right. There is a (vintage) “Stitchin’ Heaven” sign in front of a white fence. It still has our old Scraps the cat logo!

Pricing Info:

$35 per night per person plus taxes and applicable fees. There is a 2 night / 8 person minimum and a $150 non-refundable cleaning fee.
