This unforgettable journey departs from Galveston, Texas, and will whisk you away to sun-kissed ports including Roatán, Puerto Costa Maya and Cozumel. Picture yourself stitching with new friends while surrounded by ocean breezes, vibrant fabrics, and island inspiration.
Onboard, you'll enjoy expert-led quilting classes, exclusive project kits, and access to sewing machines all while cruising the Caribbean in comfort. Whether you're relaxing by the pool or sewing in the conference room with new friends, this cruise promises laughter, learning, and lasting memories.

Quilting Instructors & Projects
Chris Hoover
Chris Hoover is the designer behind Whirligig Designs and is known for her bold use of color, detailed piecing, and striking star patterns. A lifelong lover of sewing and design, Chris brings a technical eye and creative spirit to every quilt she creates. Her patterns have inspired quilters nationwide, and her workshops are loved for their clarity, encouragement, and fun-loving atmosphere.
Tilework
Tilework features a bold grid of square blocks that alternate between large prints and 2x2 patchwork. Earthy tones—like burgundy, burnt orange, and deep blue—shine through tribal-inspired fabrics, framed with crisp white and textured navy borders. Blue sashing ties the design together, while a red and gold accent border adds a subtle finishing touch. Modern geometry meets traditional influence in this richly detailed quilt.

NOTE: If you choose to provide your own fabric you will need the Tilework Pattern.
Melinda Stanton
Melinda Stanton rediscovered her love for quilting after retiring from a long career teaching choir. She specializes in English Paper Piecing, scrappy designs, and star motifs, with award-winning quilts shown at the International Quilt Festival and AQS shows nationwide. A teacher at heart, Melinda enjoys helping quilters grow their skills and confidence—whether in shops, guilds, or even on a schooner in Maine.
Star Pop II
Star Pop II explodes with color and whimsy as playful sawtooth stars spread across a graphic patchwork of modern prints. This quilt combines big shapes and bright colors in a setting that is classic and fresh at the same time. A happy addition to any space, Star Pop II has such wonderful character and energy.
Finished Size: 60" x 75"
NOTE: If you choose to provide your own fabric you will need the Star Pop II Pattern.
Optional Sail 'n Sew Fabric Pack
Our incredible Sail 'n Sew fabric pack includes all of the fabrics and patterns for your projects and they are pre-cut so all you need to do is sit down and sew! The price of the Sail ‘n Sew fabric pack is $340.90 and it includes precut fabric for the quilt top for both projects including the borders, binding and pattern. Â
If you are interested in only one of the kits, you can specify which one on the registration form when you sign up for the cruise. If you would like a Sail ‘n Sew pack, simply select both kits when you fill out the registration form and we'll have it waiting for you on the ship.
If you do not wish to purchase a Sail 'n Sew Fabric Pack, remember to pack your own fabrics. We will not have fabrics available for purchase aboard the ship. You will need to bring your fabric pre-cut and ready for class. You must also bring your pattern or book. You can purchase the patterns here: Sun Catchers and Garden Star.
Note: View the preliminary 2026 Sun, Sand, and Stitches Supply List. A finalized supply list will be sent to you 90 days prior to departure. We will not have a store onboard. Please bring all supplies you will need according to the supply list. We suggest you bring an extra project if you feel like you will finish the class projects and need extra sewing.

*Non-sewing guests will receive a $250 discount. Port charges, gratuities, taxes & fees of $512.91 are not included. Prices are per person, based on double occupancy.
There is a $350 per person deposit due at registration which will secure your price and availability.
This fee includes your cruise fare PLUS all fees to the teachers, a BERNINA sewing machine for the entire cruise, all associated class activities, and classroom support. You may purchase our precut Sail n Sew kit (supplies are limited) or you are welcome to bring your own precut fabric.
Group travel allows us to provide special touches that are not available on an individual reservation. And unfortunately, discounts from Royal Caribbean are not allowed through our group program. In order to take full benefit from everything Stitchin' Heaven offers on our cruises, you must register through Stitchin 'Heaven Travel. If you have questions or need assistance in changing your individual reservation to a group reservation through Stitchin' Heaven Travel, please let us know.
