Cottages in Bloom, designed by Jennie Lamb of Lamb Farm Designs, is a cozy, cottage-inspired wool appliqué quilt featuring twelve charming houses surrounded by seasonal flowers, oversized blooms and playful trees. This heartwarming design appeals to quilters of all skill levels who love home, nature and the changing seasons in their projects. It’s also Stitchin' Heaven’s very first wool block of the month!

This design is created using wool appliqué with simple hand embroidery, allowing for crisp, precise details and expert results. A checkerboard cotton background means no piecing and no stitching through bulky seams, so you can get started right away. The appliqué is made from soft, richly colored Lanacot Wools and Lanacot Textures by Marcus Fabrics. High-quality quilter’s cotton prints from the Cottages in Bloom collection provide smooth, consistent fabric with excellent color saturation. Fabric substitutions, if needed, will match the original design as closely as possible.
