Carol Doak
Carol Doak's journey into the world of quilting began in 1979 when she embarked on a seven-week basic quilting class in Worthington, Ohio. Little did she know that this experience would ignite a lifelong love for the craft. The following year, Carol found herself teaching the very same class, and it was during this time that she discovered her immense joy in sharing her knowledge and teaching others the art of quilting.
Since those early days, Carol has left an indelible mark on the quilting community, having taught over a million individuals to quilt through her highly acclaimed books, instructional DVDs, and her extensive travels as a sought-after instructor around the globe.
Renowned for her innovative techniques, Carol Doak continually astonishes the quilting world with her imaginative applications of paper piecing. With the release of her first paper piecing book in 1993, she unveiled a whole new dimension to the quilting experience. Over the years, she has passionately designed more than 1,000 captivating paper-pieced patterns, captivating enthusiasts everywhere.
Carol's unwavering passion for design and education shines through, whether you have had the privilege of attending one of her classes or have delved into the pages of her inspiring books and instructional DVDs. - 6" Add-a-Quarter ruler
Basic Sewing Supplies

- Flat-headed flower pins

- Styrofoam Tray or paper plates to organize cut fabric

- Caorl Doak Foundation Paper (required)
- Bring your favorite fat quarters for the background area of the stars (required)
- Bring your favorite 2.5" strips for the design elements in the stars (required)
Please bring your sewing machine equipped with an open-toe presser foot, 90/14 needles and grey thread that will work for most color combinations.
If you are renting a Bernina 475 QE (if available) from Stitch’ Heaven we can provide you with a #20 open-toe presser foot and a neutral beige thread
