Your Cruise Checklist — 30 Days to Go
30 days to go!
Time to pull out the suitcase. Here is everything to tick off before you sail — nothing on this list takes long, and we are here for every bit of it.
1. Your balance should be paid in full
Final payment is due about 90 days before you sail, so by now your cruise should be paid off. Not sure where you stand? We will tell you in about thirty seconds — just ask.
2. Travel documents
- A valid passport (or the ID your cruise line accepts for your itinerary).
- Check the expiration date — many itineraries require your passport to stay valid for months after you return. If yours is close, sort it now, not later.
- The name on your booking must match your ID exactly. If you have married, divorced, or go by a nickname, tell us today.
3. Online check-in with the cruise line
This is separate from registering with us, and only you can do it. It opens well before sailing — if you have not done it yet, do it this week. Details: what to do 45 days out.
4. Travel insurance
If you bought it, keep the policy number somewhere you can find it from your phone. If you declined it, that is fine — we just want you to have made the choice on purpose.
5. Your room and roommate
Confirm your cabin category and, if you are sharing, that your roommate is who you think it is. Roommate changes get much harder this close in — now is the moment.
6. Your quilt kit and class
Double-check the kit and class you picked. This is the fun part, and it is also the part people forget they left blank.
7. Sewing supplies
We bring the project. You bring your favorite tools. Before you pack anything sharp, read this: packing your sewing supplies.
Not sure about something? Just ask.
There is no such thing as a silly question this close to sailing. Call us at (903) 760-7397 or email cruises@stitchinheaven.com and a real person who knows your cruise will answer.
Almost time to trade your sewing room for the open seas. We cannot wait to see you aboard.
