PROJECTS & KITS
Nova Star Quilt
Designer: Then Came June
Instructor: Jenna Hall
Size: 54.75" × 68"
The Nova Star Quilt is a bold modern star quilt that blends traditional piecing with a fresh, graphic look. Radiant stars and striking geometry create dramatic movement, brought to life with vibrant color and contrast. It’s a joyful, eye-catching quilt that’s as fun to make as it is stunning.
✨ A modern star quilt that truly lives up to its name — Nova Star — lighting up your sewing time with color, warmth, and creative spark.
Nana Flower Quilt
Designer: Lena Hoa
Instructor: Jo Caraway
Size: 108" × 108"
The Nana Flower Quilt is a striking quilt that blends timeless comfort with bold, graphic beauty. Radiating from the center in rich navy and soft cream, its geometric floral design creates a stunning visual impact while maintaining a warm, classic feel.
With simple piecing and elegant results, this quilt is perfect as a bed quilt or heirloom piece — a design that feels both modern and nostalgic, like a grandmother’s hug stitched into every block.

Jo Caraway
Jo Caraway
Master Quilter • Educator • Guild Founder
For Jo Caraway, a quilt is always more than fabric and stitches — it’s a story, a memory, and a reflection of the maker behind it. This belief inspired the name of her longarm quilting business, It’s Sew Personal, and has guided her decades-long quilting journey.
Jo began quilting in the 1990s and expanded her skills from domestic machines to longarm quilting after retiring, opening her business to the public in 2008. Over the years, she has become known for her deep technical knowledge, thoughtful guidance, and ability to help quilters gain confidence through practical tips and proven techniques.
An award-winning quilter herself, Jo’s work — and the work of her students and clients — has earned numerous ribbons, including multiple Best of Show awards. She has taught a wide range of classes, from beginner quilting and hand appliqué to machine and longarm quilting, and continues to teach regularly through quilt guilds she founded and supports in Texas.
At the Sewcation, Jo brings a steady, encouraging presence — working alongside you to problem-solve, refine techniques, and help you achieve the best possible results in your quilting.
