The Maple Leaf Flurries Pattern is a beautiful wall quilt design measuring 42" x 42". It is a smaller version of the popular Indian Summer Pattern and is a great introduction to one of Quiltworx's simpler foundation units. The quilt pattern features a simple color palette that emphasizes the maple leaf element.

The cutting instructions for the Maple Leaf Flurries have been modified from the original Indian Summer pattern to make it easier for beginners to follow. Quiltworx has placed all the templates on fabric facing right-side-up, taking advantage of 2-1/2" strips, which is now a standard practice.

The instructions not only include cutting instructions for the colorway shown on the cover, but also provide an option for creating a more colorful wall quilt using a variety pack of 2-1/2" strips. To make the cover quilt, you will need 24 strips, and the remaining strips can be used for the inner border and binding, if desired. Yardage will still need to be purchased for the background geese and the outer border to complete the quilt.
