Inspired by her mother Kathleen, designer Chris Schulte of Green Light Quilts created Kathleen’s Story as a heartfelt quilt filled with warmth, balance, and timeless appeal. Soft tones of sage, coral, dusty blue, butter, and gentle neutrals come together in a palette that works beautifully year-round.

This quilt is completed using a combination of traditional piecing and applique, offering variety while keeping the sewing process enjoyable and approachable. High-quality quilter’s cotton prints are used throughout the project, with fabric substitutions matched as closely as possible to the original design. The pattern for this quilt is exclusively available through this Block of the Month program.
