Meet Rob Appell, a California native whose passion for quilting is matched only by his love for surfing, hiking, and playing guitar. With a supportive family at his side, Rob’s journey into quilting began in his mother’s quilt shop, where he caught the "quilt pox" and never looked back. Self-taught and fueled by creativity, Rob developed his signature style of quilted seascapes and went on to design fabrics for Free Spirit and Michael Miller Fabrics.

Rob’s expertise and vibrant personality led him to host Missouri Star’s Man Sewing channel for four years, inspiring quilters around the world. Today, Rob is embarking on exciting new adventures with Stitchin’ Heaven in Quitman, TX, and sharing fresh tutorials on his YouTube channel, Sew Well with Rob Appell.
