Designer Deirdre, of Hat Creek Quilts, was led by a garden “look” when designing this quilt, creating blocks with a classic sampler in mind. Her combination of appliqued and pieced block roughly echos the formal gardens that surrounded grand old houses from the same time period as the original document qult from 1890-1910.
