Kim Sandburg

Kimberly learned to sew at a young age from her mother and grandmothers and completed her first quilt after discovering a log cabin design in high school. What began as a five-year project sparked a lifelong passion for quilting. She began quilting on a home machine in 2003, moved to longarm quilting in 2007, and became a professional longarm quilter in 2016.
Using her HQ Avanté® with Pro-Stitcher®, Kimberly combines precise computerized designs with creative free-motion quilting to highlight beautiful patchwork. Once a traditional quilter, her style has evolved to include modern influences. She has taught quilting across the U.S. for Handi Quilter and now enjoys sharing her passion and expertise in the Handi Quilter Studio.
Active in the quilting community, Kimberly belongs to several quilt guilds and enjoys reading, cooking, and hiking in the Utah mountains with her husband, children, and dog.

Workshop-style mini-classes (3 hours). Classes are 45 mins long: 30 mins of hands-on/15 mins of intro to class.
